| i was kinda sad all day...and was fully ready to leave you with some deep thoughts...or other nuggets of sadness-HOWEVER
yesterday i had multiple encounters with birds.
first, i'm at work sitting under my tree on lunch break and this tree produces some odd little red berries that the birds find tasty. Well, as they ate them they spit out the seeds and other non-edible particles down on my head and even landed in my food. gross.
second, i'm taking a power-stroll around crown hill and i pass a woman who is not walking a dog, but (you guessed it) a bird. She had this massive and beautiful green parrot on her shoulders as she made her way around the loop.
Third: this was also on my crown-hill trek. I am not exaggerating in the least. Whether it was three different birds or one particular one that was infatuated with me- i don't know, but, IT TRIED TO LAND ON MY HEAD THREE TIMES. i could feel the pull of their little claws/feet/whatevers pulling on my hair. now, please keep in mind this was not consecutively, these were within at least 5 minutes of each other. I got plenty of stares and laughes as I flangled my arms up in the air and my heart rate increased from being startled. so odd.
why has no one told me my hair looks like a nest? | | |
| gotta love garage sales...
got me some pots and pans, a decorative can, old cigar boxes and A ROCKING CHAIR just like one we had when i was little...and i paid like 25 bucks!

| i accomplished sooo much this weekend...
1. saw Nacho Libre---hilarious...
2. got in like 8 wrestling matches...only conquered like 3
3. had a marvelous latte
4. ate my weight in strawberries
5. jumped on a trampoline for more than 5 minutes without excusing myself to go pee
6. worked on my soccer skills
7. read a hefty chunk of my book
8. got mooned...scary
9. found a new park to hang out at
10. lauged my rear-end off...

| i seriously have tooo much fun.
in all honesty...i wasn't looking that forward to coming home this summer, just cuz i knew i'd be working and i have some slight drama i should try to deal with, i was thinking it'd be blah blah blah...but i have been soooo wrong!!
we had the same idea as every other coloradan on memorial day...go hiking
